Legendary action star Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned to Prague for production on the second season of the Netflix FUBAR. As The Prague Reporter previously reported, filming for the series is slated to take place throughout locations in Prague’s Old Town neighborhood early this week.
Schwarzenegger arrived in Prague on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, he was spotted riding a bike with a small security detail through the Czech capital’s Smíchov neighborhood. Despite turning 77 years old this summer, the iconic action hero is still quite active.

FUBAR marks Schwarzenegger’s first time filming in the Czech capital, though he previously shot a commercial for Mobile Strike in Beroun in 2015. Around that time, he also biked through the streets of Prague, and shared the journey on Snapchat.
“One of my favorite traditions,” Schwarzenegger said at the time. “Cycling in any city around the world is fantastic. Excellent exercise. And there is no better way to combine experience, get to know a new place, and meet fans.”
In FUBAR, Schwarzenegger stars as Luke Brunner, a nearly-retired CIA agent who discovers that his estranged daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), is also secretly working for the CIA. In the show’s first season, father and daughter team up for a high-stakes, globe-trotting mission to dismantle a dangerous arms dealer’s network.
The cast of FUBAR includes Fabiana Udenio as Luke’s ex-wife and Emma’s mother, Andy Buckley (The Office) as her new partner, and Jay Baruchel as Emma’s unsuspecting boyfriend, a schoolteacher. Joining them are Barbara Eve Harris, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, and Aparna Brielle, who portray CIA operatives aiding the Brunner family. All are set to return for the second season.
Season 2 introduces The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss, who plays Greta Nelso, a former East German spy with a past connection to Luke. Moss’s character emerges as the antagonist, threatening global destruction and Luke’s personal life.
In Prague this week, filming for FUBAR is scheduled to take place in various locations in the city center around Old Town Square, including Dušní, Bílkova, Kozí, Haštalská, and surrounding streets. Additional scenes will be shot near Obecní Dům and Petrská street, with local production being coordinated by Stillking Films.
Primary production on FUBAR has already been completed earlier this summer in Ontario and additional locations.
Prague has become a popular backdrop for spy thrillers in recent years, with productions including Amazon’s Jack Ryan recently filming its third season in the city. With Moss’s portrayal of a former East German spy in FUBAR and the use of Prague locations, it’s possible that the Czech capital also plays a role in the storyline.
