Vyšehrad Dvje, the highest-grossing Czech film of 2025 at the local box office (and third overall, behind only A Minecraft Movie and F1), debuted atop the Czech streaming charts among movies according to popularity scores from streaming tracker JustWatch. The football-centered comedy sequel from directors Martin Kopp and Jakub Štáfek is now streaming on Netflix after amassing around CZK 90 million ($4.3 million) in cinemas earlier this summer.
Filmmaker Zach Cregger‘s Weapons is gaining steam in its second week of release at the Czech box office, and his previous film, the breakout 2022 horror hit Barbarian, surged in local streaming charts to come in third among movies this week. The director himself is also personally in Prague ahead of production on his Resident Evil film.
Despite minimal critical feedback, the Malaysian action film Blood Brothers: Dragon’s Embers continues to be a surprise hit for Netflix. After debuting in the top 10 globally back in April, the film surged all the way back up to second this week in the Czech Republic.
Last week’s streaming leader, the Prague-shot horror hit Nosferatu, fell to fourth place for SkyShowtime, while the Eddie Murphy-Pete Davidson comedy The Pickup held strong in fifth for Prime Video.
New movie releases struggled to make an impression on the Czech streaming charts, with the Vanessa Kirby drama Night Always Comes debuting in eighth place on Netflix and the Indonesian action-thriller The Siege at Thorn High coming in sixth for Prime Video.

Among TV shows, Alien: Earth dominated JustWatch popularity rankings this week to take the top spot for Disney+. The new series from creator Noah Hawley (Fargo) and set in the same universe as the Alien films premiered its first two episodes last week, with new episodes dropping weekly on Tuesdays.
Wednesday continues to hold strong for Netflix, coming in second among TV shows in the Czech Republic after dropping the first half of its second season last weekend. The hit series from Tim Burton will unveil the second half of its second season next month, and looks to hold strong in streaming charts until then.
Also holding strong are MobLand on SkyShowtime and Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which landed in third and fifth among TV series, respectively.
The Christian historical drama The Chosen has been a massive hit it the States both in cinemas and on Prime Video through five streaming seasons and theatrical releases. Still, it’s something of a surprise hit in the largely-atheistic Czech Republic, coming in fourth for Netflix this past week.
Quantum Leap was also a surprise to see ranking in the Czech streaming charts this week, with the original 1989 Scott Bakula series coming in seventh and its 2022 reboot ranking tenth. Both series are available to stream on SkyShowtime in the Czech Republic.
