One Battle After Another continues to lead Czech streaming charts in its third weekend of release on HBO Max, according to streaming aggregator JustWatch. Paul Thomas Anderson‘s epic black comedy based on the novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a father attempting to save his daughter during a questionable military intervention led by a colonel from their past, played by Sean Penn.
F1 continues to drive up the charts after more than a month of release on Apple TV+, coming in second. The automotive blockbuster starring Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem was one of the biggest hits in Czech cinemas this year behind A Minecraft Movie, and continues to draw in viewers for Apple.
Coming in third for Netflix is Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery in its fourth week of release. The murder mystery from Rian Johnson starring Daniel Craig as master detective Benoit Blanc has (expectedly) been one of the streamer’s biggest hits of the holiday season on the heels of previous entries Knives Out and Glass Onion.
Something of a surprise in fourth: The Tank (Der Tiger), a German-language WWII action-drama from director Dennis Gansel about a five-man crew of a Nazi Tiger tank as they embark on a secret mission deep behind enemy lines. The Prime Video hit may have gotten a local boost considering it was filmed in and around Prague in 2023.
Rounding out the top five was Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning for SkyShowtime, giving each major streaming service an entry in this week’s top five. The Tom Cruise action film, the eighth and allegedly final entry in his Mission: Impossible series, had a weak run in cinemas over the summer but proved a solid hit on streaming over the holiday season.

Stranger Things continues to hold its position at the top of the Czech charts for Netflix over the past week among TV series according to JustWatch, after dropping its season five finale on Dec. 31. The staggered release of the series throughout December instead of a single drop proved a wise move for the streaming giant, with its biggest series dominating the streaming conversation all month long.
Meanwhile, Fallout continues to perform strongly for Prime Video three weeks into its traditional release schedule. The action-comedy from producer Jonathan Nolan (Westworld) based on the popular series of Bethesda video games will release new episodes weekly on Wednesdays through Feb. 4
With a lack of other new drops over the holidays, Prime Video also saw another sci-fi favorite soar all the way back up to third in the charts: The Expanse, which ran from 2015–2021. The epic sci-fi series based on the series of novels by James S. A. Corey, was a hit with critics and audiences, and may gain a new wave of Czech viewers as Prime Video strengthens its position among local streaming services.
Wednesday, which released the second half of its second season back in September, surged all the way back up to fourth place for Netflix. The continued performance of the Tim Burton-produced series starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams suggests local fans are eager for season three, slated to begin filming early this year.
And continuing to rank in the top five two weeks after dropping the ninth and final episode of its first season, Pluribus has officially become the most-watched original series for Apple TV+. The latest series from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan starring Rhea Seehorn has benefited from rave reviews from both critics and audiences.
