Ana de Armas in Ballerina (2025)

Czech streaming charts Dec. 1-7: ‘Ballerina’ dances to the top of the charts for Canal+

Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff starring Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves, was the most popular movie on Czech streaming services over the past week according to aggregator JustWatch. The high-octane action film, which was largely filmed in Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic, is now streaming on Canal+ and is also available to rent on Apple TV.

Heading into the holidays, modern Christmas classics continue to chart well in Czechia. 2003’s Love Actually, streaming locally on OnePlay, was the second most-popular title over the past week, while Home Alone came in third for Disney+. The 2018 animated version of The Grinch came in fifth after charting at fourth the previous week.

A brand-new Christmas film didn’t fare quite as well. The family comedy Oh. What. Fun., which stars Michelle Pfeiffer as a put-upon mom who escapes her unloving family over the holidays, charted at seventh for Prime Video.

Until Dawn, director David F. Sandberg‘s gory adaptation of the popular Sony video game, came in fourth in its streaming debut on HBO Max. Despite an innovative time loop premise, the film doesn’t do much with its usual story of a group of stranded friends getting hacked up at a mysterious cabin in the woods.

The Roses, a remake of the 1980s classic The War of the Roses, came in sixth in its streaming debut on Disney+. The bitter black comedy stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as a pair of British expats in California whose marriage comes to a bloody end.

Last week’s chart-topping features Train Dreams and The Fantastic Four: First Steps rounded out this week’s top 10 for Netflix and Disney+, respectively.
