Giancarlo Esposito in Better Call Saul / Iain Glen in Game of Thrones

Giancarlo Esposito, Iain Glen join lineup for Comic-Con Prague, March 13–15

Comic-Con Prague has expanded its international guest list ahead of its seventh edition, set to take place March 13–15 at Prague’s O2 universum. Newly announced attendees include Giancarlo Esposito and Iain Glen, both known for prominent roles in globally successful television franchises.

The annual pop culture festival has become one of the largest fan events in Central Europe, drawing audiences interested in film, television, comics, literature, and gaming. Organizers say this year’s program continues to emphasize internationally recognizable screen talent alongside Czech performers and creators.

More than 23,000 people attended Comic-Con Prague last year, reflecting the event’s steady growth since its launch. The festival combines actor appearances, panel discussions, competitions, and exhibitions, with programming spread across multiple stages throughout the venue.

International television stars head guest list

Among the most prominent new guests is Giancarlo Esposito, best known for portraying Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and its prequel Better Call Saul. His recent work also includes appearances in The Mandalorian and other high-profile streaming productions, making him one of the most internationally visible actors to attend the Prague event in recent years.

Also confirmed is Scottish actor Iain Glen, who gained global recognition as Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones. Glen’s career spans film, television, and theater, with additional credits including the Resident Evil film series and a range of British and international productions.

Fans of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece will also have the opportunity to see actors Craig Fairbrass and Vincent Regan, both of whom appeared in the series. The show ranks among Netflix’s most-watched titles and has helped introduce the long-running Japanese franchise to a wider international audience.

Other newly-announced guests include Billy Boyd, known for his role of Pippin in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Michael Winslow (Police Academy, Spaceballs), Lateef Crowder (The Mandalorian) and Moe Bar-El (Alien: Earth). They join previously announced guests Amanda Tapping (Stargate), Diêm Camille and Sandra Yi Sencindiver (both from Alien: Earth).

Czech talent, literature, and comics featured

The festival will again place a strong emphasis on domestic guests, with Czech actor Jiří Lábus among those confirmed. Lábus is known for a career that spans stage, film, and television, as well as extensive voice acting work that has made him a familiar presence to Czech audiences across generations.

According to organizers, this year’s program will also highlight moderated discussions, literary programming, and special projects. One of the scheduled events is the competitive quiz show Superlov, presented at Comic-Con Prague in cooperation with the Oneplay platform.

Another program highlight will focus on Czech dubbing, with a panel featuring voice actors from The Vampire Diaries. The session is expected to provide insight into the Czech localization process for internationally distributed television series.

The literary segment will include the launch of a new Czech-Polish anthology, followed by a discussion with participating authors. Among those expected to attend are writer Leoš Kyša, who publishes under the pen name František Kotleta, as well as Polish contributors. The program is organized in cooperation with the Polish Institute and will also feature authors Juraj Červenák and Vladimír Šlechta.

Comic art will be represented through collaborations with Czech publisher Crew. Italian artist Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri, creator of the cult series Druuna, and acclaimed comic book author Mirka Andolfo are among the international creators scheduled to appear. The festival will also host exhibitions, including displays of signed memorabilia and original film posters.

Comic-Con Prague is part of a broader international tradition that began in the United States in 1970. Alongside the Prague edition, the Comic-Con Junior event in Brno has established itself as a separate, child-focused gathering, with its fourth edition held last year.
