Director David Lynch passed away this week at the age of 78, and while he never shot a film in Prague, he did share a
Kafka-influenced films by Steven Soderbergh, Orson Welles, Martin Scorsese, and many others will be presented at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Filming for Franz, starring Idan Weiss as the iconic author alongside Maria Schrader and Ivan Trojan, will take place in central Prague through the end of May.
Photos from the Prague set of Franz showcase Polish filmmaker Holland working with the young star of her latest film, set to shoot in April.
Casting for Franz is currently underway in Germany and the Czech Republic, with the film expected to shoot in the center of Prague.
