The third edition of Prague’s Al Qamar Film Festival opens today at Edison Filmhub, spotlighting cinema and culture from the Middle East and North Africa.
This year’s festival will include three Czech premieres, including The Seed of the Sacred Fig from Iranian filmmaker and political dissident Mohammad Rasoulof.
The long-awaited epic will screen at the Be2Can festival in Prague in October, and likely receive a wide theatrical release later this fall.
